War and Peace in a Digital Age: The 2014 Vienna Seminar

Technology is dramatically transforming the way that we look at, and deal with, war and peace: this was the key message of the 44th session of the IPI Vienna Seminar, which took place May 13-14, 2014. This year’s seminar examined how technology in a digital age is affecting war and peace making, governance, diplomacy, privacy, and safety.  



About the Office

IPI’s Vienna office is located in the Palais Harrach in the historic center of the Austrian capital, close to diplomatic missions, the Austrian foreign ministry, and the headquarters of a number of international and non-governmental organizations.

In addition to carrying out research and providing policy advice, the Vienna office hosts roundtable meetings and high profile speakers on issues related to international peace and security.
