IPA organized a one-day, focused workshop on “Reviewing the Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Apparatus.” The workshop, hosted in cooperation with the Center on Global Counter-Terrorism Cooperation, brought together experts from UN Member States, UN Secretariat officials and leading academic and non-governmental experts to address the role of the Security Council and its counter-terrorism-related subsidiary bodies in the global fight against terrorism.

The event featured Mr. Alan Doss, the Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Liberia and Coordinator of UN Operations in Liberia. Mr. Doss spoke about current challenges to peacekeeping and peacebuilding in Liberia.

IPA hosted the latest event in our recently launched “SRSG Series.” This event, entitled Côte d’Ivoire at a Crossroads, featured Mr. Pierre Schori, the recent Head of the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire (UNOCI). Mr. Schori reflected on his two year term and spoke about the current challenges to peacekeeping and peacebuilding in Côte d’Ivoire.
