This report provides a brief analytical summary of the eighth annual IPI New York Seminar held on May 5-9, 2003, in West Point, New York. Nearly seventy panelists and participants representing the UN, regional organizations, member governments, NGOs, academia, and the media contributed to a lively debate on this years theme, Regional Approaches to Conflict. Recent developments in places such as Liberia, Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and Iraq set the context for discussions.
