Appraising Efforts to Improve Conflict Management in West Africa

This report stems from the Accra seminar intended to review developments on the implementation of the ECOWAS security mechanism, assess the status of the implementation of the recommendations made at past seminars and provide recommendations to the United Nations (UN), the African Union (AU), and sub-regional organizations on how to improve their strategies for successful intervention in Africa.

The seminar was co-organized by the International Peace Institute, Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
