Reviewing the Security Council's Counterterrorism Apparatus
IPI organized a one-day, focused workshop on "Reviewing the Security Council's Counterterrorism Apparatus." The workshop, hosted in cooperation with the Center on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation, brought together experts from UN member states, UN Secretariat officials, and leading academic and nongovernmental experts to address the role of the Security Council and its counter-terrorism-related subsidiary bodies in the global fight against terrorism.

On April 9, 2007, the International Peace Institute and the Center on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation (CGCTC) convened the first of two expert workshops in New York aimed at providing independent, comprehensive assessments of the United Nations Security Council's overall counterterrorism contributions since 2001.
