The new website, www.providingforpeacekeeping.org, includes a publicly-available database of all uniformed contributions to UN peacekeeping operations; thematic papers analyzing various elements of force generation; and country profiles examining why countries contribute to UN peacekeeping operations.

Equal Citizenship Not Guaranteed in Draft Constitutions For Tunisia and Egypt

As Tunisia prepares to vote on its constitution next month, two reports examining draft constitutions for Tunisia and Egypt found that language guaranteeing equal citizenship between men and women has not been included, though citizenship was not explicitly undermined on the basis of gender.

In the past few centuries, the role of the Asia-Pacific was diminished in its global influence. This is about to change. By 2030, the region's share of the world’s GDP is predicted to be 67%. It is currently home to more than half the global population, and has the fastest growing economies in the world. By all accounts, the 21st century will be the "Asia-Pacific century."
