IPI Paper Wins Outstanding Academic Title Award

The IPI Occasional Paper, The Democratic Republic of Congo: Economic Dimensions of War and Peace by Michael Nest with François Grignon and Emizet F. Kisangani, was selected by Choice Magazine as an Outstanding Academic Title for 2006.

Award winners “comprise just over 9 percent of the titles reviewed by Choice over the past year, and less than 3 percent of the more than 25,000 titles submitted to Choice during the same time period.”

Winners were selected for “their excellence in scholarship and presentation, the significance of their contribution to the field, and their value as important—often the first—treatment of their subject.” Choice Outstanding Academic Title award winners are “truly the best of the best” and IPI is honored to have received this commendation.

More information on the award and the full list of Outstanding Academic Titles are available in the January 2007 issue of Choice magazine.
