Author Hillary Saviello
Hillary Saviello is the Social Media Officer at IPI, responsible for live-tweeting from IPI’s program of events, as well as writing news articles about the issue areas they cover: peace, security, and sustainable development. As social media manager, Hillary designs original graphics to promote IPI events and publications, as well as engages with stakeholders on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. She also manages the social media accounts of IPI’s current affairs analysis page, the Global Observatory.
Prior to IPI, Hillary worked on outreach projects for the United Nations Department of Public Information, and the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). She also prepared policy briefings for the Permanent Delegation of the United States to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France.
Hillary received a Master’s degree, with Merit, in the Theory & History of International Relations from the London School of Economics. Hillary combined her interests in international law and history with her dissertation on the foundation of the United Nations War Crimes Commission. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Politics & Communications, summa cum laude, from Bard College at Simon’s Rock, during which she spent a year studying at the University of Oxford, St. Catherine’s College.
