Arab Institute for Human Rights and IPI MENA to Cooperate on Promoting Human Rights in the Region

On December 1st, IPI MENA Director Nejib Friji was hosted by the Arab Institute for Human Rights (AIHR) and Al Saïda Radio in Tunis, Tunisia, to discuss the areas for cooperation between the two organizations in further promoting human rights in the region.

During the meeting, Mr. Abdelbasset ben Hassan, Head of AIHR, and Mr. Friji shared their objectives on how to advocate and implement a culture and practice of human rights in the region and beyond. AIHR’s core principle based on “universality, integration and indivisibility of human rights,” aligns with those of IPI MENA’s, especially as part of its Regional Integration initiative. Professor Hajar Al-Habshi, AIHR’s Executive Director, also attended the meeting.

IPI MENA and AIHR will continue to develop their partnership around the mutual goal of making human rights the foundation for sustainable development and durable peace.
