Olivia Fielding is the Program Coordinator for Peace, Climate and Sustainable Development at the International Peace Institute. She is based in New York, where she works full time on climate-related projects at IPI. Olivia graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021, double majoring with honors in Earth Science and Political Science. After graduation, Olivia worked as a climate change research fellow with Perry World House at UPenn, assisting in PWH’s growing involvement in international climate policy. She also does research in the Galápagos Islands on how to bridge the many gaps between local community development and the needs of their environments, especially in developing nations. In addition, she works with the UNFCCC, both on the Resilience Frontiers Initiative, which investigates how to affect behavioral norm change on change, and on the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform.

Olivia is very passionate about conservation and combating climate change, especially to protect the most vulnerable people and places on our planet. She loves to travel, and is very excited to continue expanding her career.
